Event Listings!

So, Brett and I have been back for close to … well … FOUR months now? Wow, it seems like yesterday that we were moving home, yet so much has happened since.

Including TONS of date nights – I promise – but we are crap at blogging about them after the fact. I honestly think living in England made us lazy. Either that, or we aren’t used to having our time filled with so much, that any down time we have is used for just that – DOWN TIME for recuperating from all the action. I don’t remember Seattle being so bustling. Perhaps it’s because we lived 2 years in a sleepy beach town, where excitement on a weekend was a craft fair in town center (we had to go to London for anything really exciting) and maybe a walk through the gardens (I’ll be honest, though, I do miss it).

But even so, I am really impressed with all of the amazingly fun things Seattle has to offer these days – apart from amazing restaurants, state-of-the-art live music, outdoor cinema, and festivals to write home about – things the city has always been good at.

But today, it seems like Seattle is getting incredibly creative with its offerings. Whether it’s a massive tomato battle at Pyramid Brewery, spooky pub and brothel crawls through Pioneer Square, the world’s largest water balloon fight, fancy white-hat croquet tournaments in the park, paint-ball 5Ks or zombie crawls the summer in this city had been chock-a-block full of incredible opportunity, and we’ve taken full advantage.

This Friday, we’re off to a White Party down at Pier 66 – highly recommended (except of course that my current drink of choice is Red Wine, which is a disaster waiting to happen). With tickets only $20 (and for a good cause), there’s no excuse not to go!

In the meantime, keep an eye here for a lot of back-logged blogs, once we finally have time to sit down and reflect on what we've been filling this fabulous summer with! Maybe the first rainy day – since we haven’t had one since we've moved here!!!

I really need to get out more, I never have any idea what's happening in the city! I'm super excited for Seahawks football though, that's pretty much my favorite fall activity. :-)
