G’day Seattle!

After gallivanting around Europe in a tiny orange van for 3 months, it’s great to be back in the emerald state and back to enjoying Seattle’s finest!
We kicked off our weekly date-nights with an old favorite of mine, Ipanema.
Ipanema has been a regular haunt of mine ever since I stepped fresh off the boat from the old country way back in 2007. A couple of good friends of mine introduced me to the Brazilian bbq when it was in its downtown location on what we fondly remember as “Cultural” day.
In something that could only be experienced in Seattle, my friends and I walked the halls of the the newly reopened Seattle Art Museum, followed
The Salad Bar |
All on the same block, it was nothing less than Perfect!
Now located in Belltown in the old Twist space and going by its full name, The Grill from Ipanema, the recipe is still the same:
Rodizio - Slow roasted over coals meat and vegetables served table-side!
While you can order a la carte off the menu, the choice of most diners, and what I highly recommend, is the all you can eat option that includes access to an impressive salad buffet.

It’s a carnivore's paradise!
Each beast is cooked to perfection and tastier than the last. And for those, like Mandy, who aren’t interested in all that meat (giggity), you do have the salad bar-only option.
As mentioned, theh salad bar alone is fantastic, with a large arrangement of salads, seafood and veggies. Even some lighter meats like prosciutto and salamis. Mandy loved it!
With an extensinve wine and drink selection, (try the Caipirinha) attentive knowledgeable staff, and an inviting, well-spaced dining room, Ipanema is a winner!

I LOVE Ipanema! I used to go to their old location downtown all the time because it was right down the street from my office... I didn't realize they had opened a new location, I'll have to check it out!
