Got Dater's Block? Great Dating Resource!

Hello lovely readers!

Over the next few weeks we will be tweaking our Date Nights a bit, as we have friends in from Australia until the end of August! so we will be spending the next couple of Thursday nights with them! We may hit up some fabo restaurants, though, and if that's the case, you will get a FULL REPORT from us!

In the meantime, if you are itching for creative inspiration, look no further than The Nest.

This site offers COUNTLESS innovative ideas for date nights categorized by price (cheap, moderate, or splurge), by mood (sporty, romantic, sexy, off-beat, or low-key), and time of day (daytime, night time, going out, staying at home, indoor dates, outdoor dates). Really, there are so many ideas here, you will never have to visit our site again! (but please do! we love our readers!)

There is also a special section offering 50 dates for under $50, 20 dates for under $20, and other wallet-friendly options for you and your honey to partake in.

The best part? Regardless of where you live – whether it’s sunny Seattle, laid back Los Angeles, or glamorous New York, you can adapt these date ideas to your area. They are not geographically specific! And yes, some of the ideas are waaaaay cheesy, but again, you can make any of them your own just by adding a little flair (email me if you want some tips)!

So enjoy this last full month of summer (as the days are starting to get shorter, sad!) with your special someone in a new and creative way! Mix it up... and never take your number one for granted (that is the best tip i can give!).

Happy dating!

xo

Seattle Date Night: Date Night Hits The Road!

No date night this week, chickens, as Brett and I are off on another adventure -- we're headed to Michigan to visit family! Yes, you heard right. We're headed to the midwest, where open fields, front-porch swings, and laid back livin' reign supreme!

We're very excited to have this week's date night in the Great Lake State, shooting guns with my uncles, tubing down the river, taking the boat out at Uncle Tom's Cabin (yes, i have an uncle Tom and yes, he has a cabin), hitting golf balls in the back with grandpa, and picking beans with grandma!

[This is gramma and grampa's -- amidst farm land and fields!]

We're going to try to find the fanciest restaurant in all of Montcalm Township -- population 3,178 -- to have our Date Night, so it certainly will be an interesting post!

Hope you have a fabulous week, and we'll catch up with you next week, when we have yet another GREAT date night planned!

xo,
B&M

***UPDATE***

Okay, we tried, but did NOT make it to even ONE restaurant for a Date Night while in Michigan! We did, however, enjoy a ton of outdoor activities -- i've never seen Brett smile as big as he did during this trip! Our festivities included tubing down a river with my aunts, uncles and cousins, being pulled by a different kind of tube behind my uncle's boat, jet skiing, and shooting every type of gun and crossbow known to man, thanks to my uncle Ken's massive collection! We had a great relaxing time, and are ready to hit the pavement running again with our weekly date nights... so stay tuned!

Busy week!

No scheduled date night this week, we just have TOO much going on!

Tomorrow night we head to my folks' house for Pictionary with my mom's old high school best friend who is in from Michigan; Wednesday Brett is in Boise for work; Thursday is my best friend Jenna's birthday at the Mariner's Game, and then Friday starts 2009 VEGAS (Mandy)/Camping (Brett) weekend extravaganza!!

Be sure to stay tuned next week for a new and exciting post! But in the meantime, i will leave you all with a photo from our ultra-fabulous weekend!
