Pike Place Market Ghost Tours and Pike Place Bar and Grill
She Said:
Brett is OBSESSED with Ghosts. Seriously. If he had his way, he'd have his own pet ghost to haunt our apartment. As long as Ghosty cleaned up after himself, i'd be okay with this. But since all the local pet shops don't offer ghosts for sale, I had to resort to Plan B. I decided to surprise Brett with a Ghost Tour of Pike Place Market, so he'd have the opportunity to catch his own pet ghost to take home and look after.
You heard it right. A Ghost Tour of Pike Place Market! And what better time of year to do said ghost tour than Autumn, when the leaves are changing colors, temperatures drop, sweaters come out of storage, the wind picks up and people get crazy. For $15 per person, you can get a personally guided tour through the streets of downtown Seattle, where your tour guide enlightens you on stories and tales that will turn your face white as Casper during winter-time.

Tour times:
W-Sat 5p and 7p
(Fri and Sat additional tour at 9p - i recommend this one for optimum darkness!)
Brett and i ventured out last October for a suprise Date Night (i thought if i told him what we were doing, he'd chicken out... so best keep it a surprise)...
We hopped on the monorail ($4 round trip per adult) and headed down to Post Alley's Gum Wall, which is the meeting spot.

I'd purchased tickets online ahead of time, but you can also purchase at the door. We left a little early, which gave us time to get a few drinks at Alibi Room across the alley. Once liquored up a bit, we headed out to meet the group. First thing, we saw some ghosts, so already we'd gotten our $15 worth!

[Brett, lookout! Ghosts!]
The tour took us through the market, and down along First ave and Western, including jaunts through Post Alley, where we learned that Kell's used to be home to about 300 mini baby urns from the beginning of the century! EEEEK! Both Brett and I confirmed that we had seen our fair share of Spirits at Kell's in the wee hours of the morning... Our fair share of Spirits indeed...
We DEFINITELY saw some ghosts on the tour. Just have a look for yourself!

[Haunted building in Belltown, and an ORB at a Starbucks! Eeek!]
All this talk of ghosts made us HUNGRY! So we headed up to Pike Place Bar And Grill, located above the Market, for some late night dinner (tour lasts about an hour). The place was fully decorated for Halloween, which was the perfect touch after our tour.

With great views of the Market below, Brett and i had fun recalling the stories from the tour, and wondering if we really had collected any spirits along the way that we could take home and train... He was still pretty frightened about the whole tour, but he got over it.

[Brett's nervous!]
Ah well, there's always next year to catch a Ghosty, and trust me, we'll be back!
